About Our Company
Automotive
Research and Design Company (AR&D) was formed in
1987 as a technology company specializing in the development of
electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) propulsion
systems. During the period of 1988-1993 AR&D successfully
completed the design and manufacture of HEV prototype
vehicles. In 1993, AR&D transitioned in to developing
learning systems for technical education and training, while
maintaining focus on utilizing our engineering experience to
instruct automotive electronics and EV/HEV systems. In 1993,
technical expertise and experience permitted AR&D to be one of
the first private training companies to offer EV/HEV education and
training to the aftermarket.
In the late 1990's the interest for EV and HEV propulsion systems
experienced significant growth. AR&D expanded its
training and publications products for EV/HEV propulsion
systems. Currently our staff is one of a few companies with a
qualified instructor staff, leading edge publications, and training
materials to support the students learning of highly complex and
integrated systems found in current EV/HEV technologies.
Today we offer our customers a full compliment of educational
publications, training publications, CDs, and modular or integrated
on-site education and training programs.
Our
product line provides any instructor or organization a complete
turn-key solution to their HEV training needs and/or, we can offer
on site train-the-trainer or technician training with our staff to
provide you with the most comprehensive hybrid training on the
market today. |

Members of our
staff have provided training and development services including but not
limited to: project management, technical and training consultation,
customized in-house training programs, train the trainer seminars,
licensed training materials including student handbooks, development of
electronically based instructor presentations with accompanying CDs, in
addition to writing articles for leading automotive and technician
focused organizations.
Our instructor staff have experience and professional training as
engineers, automotive technicians, and instructional program
developers. Few other automotive aftermarket training
companies in the world, involved in instructing EV/HEV
systems, can make this claim.
